Develop clear policies on data handling, acceptable use, and consequences for violations. Legal and Privacy Balance: Monitoring employees raises significant privacy concerns. Be transparent about monitoring policies in employment agreements. Focus monitoring on corporate systems and data rather than personal activities. Ensure compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and local privacy laws. Work closely with legal counsel and HR to develop policies that protect the organization while respecting employee rights. The goal is deterrence and detection, not surveillance for its own sake.
